MyLabsPlus.net has launched!

andymilk | February 10, 2010

We recently helped design, build, and integrate a content management system (CMS) for Pearson Education’s MyLabsPlus marketing web site.

With the help of Dovetail Interactive, we made this:

http://www.mylabsplus.com

Look and work like this:

http://www.mylabsplus.net

The best part is that the site is hands-off for us from now on.  Any and all edits can be made by the client’s team directly, without any need for a programmer or someone who knows how to code HTML.

It’s a wonderful thing!

Here’s a quick screenshot:

For you programmers out there, we used a jQuery plugin called Simple Show for the home page carousel.  We made several edits to it and heavily customized the look & feel, but that’s the basic engine back there.

And yes, the content in the carousel is supplied by the CMS.

Anger Management iPhone App

andymilk | February 3, 2010

Recently we helped EDB Media, Inc. build and launch an iPhone application. It’s called “Anger Management” and you can find it in the app store.

Here are some screenshots from the app:

Here’s a little blurb about it:
“It can help improve relationships, help users regain control of their lives and learn basic anger management skills while working privately and conveniently on their phones.”

And some more info about it:
http://www.personalpowerpath.com/iphone/angermanagement/

It’s been getting some attention and just recently, Elastic Communications worked with EDB Media to get some media attention for the app. Fast Company featured the app on its web site:

New design and features of ToeGoz.com

andymilk | December 31, 2009

We just launched a new design and some new features for the ToeGoz.com web site.

First off, check out the new home page design:

toegozhome

And then a Flash custom flip flop creator.  You pick the style, color, font, and enter some custom monogramming and the Flash movie previews it for you.  You can then add it to your cart and purchase it.

You can see for yourself here:   http://www.toegoz.com

Happy New Years everyone!  Here’s to a great 2010!

Cheers,
Andy

Here it is:  http://www.wegohealth.com

Drum roll please…

andymilk | December 15, 2008

I spent most of 2008 working on one project and it launched today. I’m very proud of it and I hope it’s a big success. It’s called Calisto100.com and it’s being billed as “an Exclusive Dating Site, the First Social Filter for Quality Singles.”

Here’s a press release about it: http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/home/permalink/?ndmViewId=news_view&newsId=20081215005349&newsLang=en

We kicked off the project early this year and it took a lot of hard work and a crystal clear vision from my client to pull it together.  On the technology side, it has quite a few bells and whistles from AJAX to image lightboxes to automated processes and many more.  The CSS is air tight and looks almost identical across the most widely used browsers (even IE6!)

Please visit the site and have a look around.  If this site is for you, PLEASE APPLY!

Personal Power Path Facebook Application

andymilk | November 3, 2008

We recently launched a new Facebook application for PersonalPowerPath.com.  It’s integrated into the live web site, thus utilizing pieces of functionality and data from the web application.

It displays a Motivational Moment of the Day and allows users to post it on their profile or send it to a friend.  There are also 2 free video previews that give an introduction on what a paid PersonalPowerPath.com member will have access to with a membership.

Here’s the app:
